Our virtual exhibit is a finalist at the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences’ 14th Annual Lovie Awards.
We’re absolutely buzzing to share that The Big Up, our virtual exhibit, has made it to the finals for Best Film & Video in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the 14th Annual Lovie Awards! We’re in the running alongside some serious heavyweights like CNN and BBC so wish us luck!
The Lovie Awards celebrate the best digital interventions across Europe, and to be a finalist means a whole lot to us. The Big Up tells the stories of amazing global majority figures who’ve been shaping British history for the last 200 years but haven’t gotten the spotlight they deserve—until now! Through artistic intervention, we’re connecting young people with their heritage in a way that’s fun, engaging, and, most importantly, empowering.
With a little help from some fantastic institutions like the British Library and Museum of London, our crew of young people dove into the archives, uncovered hidden heroes, and brought them to life.
We’re so honoured to be recognised for this, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the final results. Stay tuned!
