The Big House Means Business (TBHMB) Manager
Play your part in the exciting development of The Big House! The Big House Means Business (TBHMB) Manager role is a blend of business development and marketing. It’s an amazing opportunity to make a big impact and grow a key source of sustainable income for the charity.
You will be responsible for delivering TBHMB strategic 5-year plan, meeting and exceeding revenue targets and developing key partnerships between new audiences and The Big House. This role works closely with our young people and is central to helping them gain valuable work experience and essential life skills. This is a varied and fast-paced role with opportunities for growth and development.
‘The Big House Means Business’, was established after realising that the incredible journey our young people have been on is something the business and social care world can learn from. The young people have gone from the margins of society to centre stage and now they help to impart these skills to executives, business leaders, social workers and other professionals who interact with marginalised young people.
We see our young people as experts by experience. They co-deliver all training workshops and performances, using the skills they have developed on our projects. This provides young people with paid and empowering work experience, creates opportunities to positively influence the practice of social care professionals, and generates unrestricted income that is channelled back into our wider activities. In 2018, 25 young people delivered performances and training workshops across the country, from Birmingham to Hertfordshire, for clients including Frontline (a fast-track social work training programme), HSBC and State Street.
If you have business development experience and enjoy working with young people to help them fulfil their potential then we’d love to hear from you.
