Venue and Events Coordinator

We’ve recently taken on our unique new building and are looking for a Venue and Events Coordinator to develop it’s potential though external hires and hosting of an exciting internal programme of events.  This role will ensure income from the venue is maximised through proactive and innovative marketing and selling of the spaces to a range of audiences and coordinating the use of the space for internal and external events to ensure the venue fulfills its potential occupancy.

This role will be responsible for the administration and management of all external hires and events from enquiry through to evaluation.

The ideal candidate is hands-on and pro-active in problem solving, has entrepreneurial flair and strong organisational skills, and seeks to deliver the highest standards in customer experience.

Mentoring is a one-to-one relationship that involves supporting a member to help achieve their goals, develop their interests and be an inspiring and consistent influence. To find out more, please email us.

Volunteers at The Big House are always welcome. There are a number of opportunities for you to get involved with from organising fundraising events, helping with set building, photographing shows, filming our work, to front of house support on our productions to name but a few. If you have an interesting job in the arts or provide a service that might be of benefit to our members we’d love to hear from you. We regularly have guest speakers who talk about everything from lives in care, the acting profession, life coaching, goal setting, yoga and meditation to name but a few. If you have time to give, skills to share and an interest in our work and would like to discuss how you can get involved, then please contact us.


Our supporters and fundraisers are invaluable to The Big House.  If you would like to fundraise for The Big House we would be delighted to support you to reach your target.
